About the Founder
Jason Sealy – Founder & CEO, Footwork Lab
Jason Sealy is the founder and CEO of Footwork Lab — the first and only program of its kind in Canada dedicated to developing athletes through the science of movement, mobility, and footwork.
Born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Jason grew up immersed in sports and excelled in football as a versatile skill-back. He went on to play running back at Vanier College, where he also earned a diploma in Building Systems and Technology. His experiences as both a player and lifelong student of athletic performance led him to recognize a major gap in athlete development: mastering the foundation of movement.
That vision became Footwork Lab. More than a training program, Footwork Lab is about building athletes from the ground up. With a focus on muscle memory, speed, coordination, and reaction time, athletes learn how to move with efficiency and control — unlocking the agility and explosiveness that directly translate into game-day performance.
Today, Jason is recognized as one of the leading footwork specialists in the country. He has worked with athletes at every stage of their journey — from youth and high school players to U Sports athletes, as well as professionals in the CFL and NFL.
In 2025, Jason was honored with the Calgary Black Achievement Award for Sports & Athletics, recognizing his impact in redefining athlete training in Canada and championing Black excellence in sport, entrepreneurship, and mentorship. Footwork Lab has also been highlighted by Square Canada’s #YYCSpotlight contest, further establishing its reputation as a trailblazing training program.
His mission remains simple: to help athletes move smarter, compete harder, and reach their full potential.
